About us
The Mission
Ervina’s mission is to make traditional Indonesian fabrics attractive to the younger generation by combining cultural heritage with casual modernity. Our signature motif is inspired by the equator, an imaginary line drawn in the middle of the planet between the two poles and parallel to the planet’s axis of rotation. At the equator, the sun is directly overhead at midday on the equinox so the duration of daylight is the same throughout the year, approximately 12 hours. The choice of materials is the main consideration so that it is comfortable and safe for the skin, as beautiful as the nature around us, it will be made carefully by skilled craftsmen from Java, Bali and Sumba.
Each piece in the Cayaning Khatulistiwa collection is intended to be timeless, versatile and wearable. Our commitment to sustainability extends to the materials we use, including cotton, linen, Tencel, and recycled textiles sourced from pre- and post-consumer waste. We contribute to a circular economy and help protect the environment by reusing materials.
We collaborate with like-minded UMKM as responsible textile labels to reduce textile waste, preserve the environment and empower communities.
